Stress can more than double the risk of type 2 diabetes for men
bythemethod | July 30, 2008In a recent study reported in Diabetic medicine it was shown that men who suffer from psychological distress are 2.2 times more likely to develop type 2 diabetes. Significantly this was not the case for women and further research is needed to find out why.
The link between stress and diabetes has been known for a long time but this recent research has put a very stark number against the risk.
