I really do not believe that self-affirmation can be bad for you. It's like chocolate, wine, exercise and everything else one week some specialist will say it's bad for you and the next week someone else will refute the theory and give fresh evidence as to how it's good for you. I say if it feels right for you 'Go for it' whether it be chocolate or self-affirmation.
