Setting goals is not just a good idea from a business perspective. We also need goals to help us reduce our stress.

Goal setting is a skill that is important for many reasons.

Knowing what you are going to do and how you are going to achieve it gives you a greater sense of control. Control is important for managing stress.

There is plenty of information about how to set goals elsewhere in this blog.

Get into the habit of setting goals

At the beginning of every day this week set yourself one task that you are going to complete. Make sure it is something you can complete and don’t make it too difficult.

Then at the end of the week consider if you have felt less stressed and more motivated. Most people find that having a purpose for each day and seeing some progress being made really helps them to reduce their stress.
